Which Kilimanjaro route is right for you?

There's no single "best" route up Kilimanjaro — it depends on how much time you have, how you acclimatise, and what kind of experience you're after.

Lemosho Route

Our top recommendation for most climbers. A longer, more scenic approach from the west with an excellent acclimatisation profile and one of the highest summit success rates.

Rongai Route

Approaches from the drier north-east near the Kenyan border. Gentler gradient and a genuine wilderness feel, especially useful in the rainy season when other routes are wetter.

Marangu Route

The only route with hut accommodation instead of tents. Comfortable and well-established, though its shorter standard itinerary gives less time to acclimatise.

We'll talk through your fitness, schedule and budget and recommend the route that gives you the best realistic shot at the summit — not just the cheapest one.
