OVERVIEW
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera — a natural amphitheatre roughly 260 km² in area, its walls rising 600 m above a floor teeming with wildlife. It is one of the very few places on earth where you can reasonably hope to see all of the big five in a single day.
